Engineering Steels are workhorses of industry because of their economical cost, wide availability, ease of processing, and good mechanical properties. Alloy steels are generally more responsive to heat and mechanical treatments than carbon steels.
Mild Steel Square Tube is hot rolled steel that has been formed into a square tube.
It is commonly referred to as HSS, meaning Hollow Structural Section).
Typically it has an inside seam due to it being welded.
Mild Steel Square Tube is measured by taking the outside dimensions (which are the same size) and then the wall thickness.
