Engineering Steel is a steel that has had small amounts of one or more alloying elements (other than carbon) such as such as manganese, silicon, nickel, titanium, copper, chromium and aluminum added. This produces specific properties that are not found in regular carbon steel.
Engineering Steels are workhorses of industry because of their economical cost, wide availability, ease of processing, and good mechanical properties. Alloy steels are generally more responsive to heat and mechanical treatments than carbon steels.
Aluminium Round Tube is used in many structural applications.
It is also used in the transportation industry (such as bicycle frames) because of its light weight.
Aluminium Round Tube is measured by first taking the Outside Diameter and then the thickness of the wall.
Typical Applications: Moldings & Extruded Trim for Stores and Homes (both interior and exterior) , Construction Tube, Lawn Furniture, Luggage Racks, Air Cylinders. Used extensively for anodized parts.
Typical Applications: Highly Stressed Applications such as Trusses, Bridges, Cranes, Transport Applications, Ore Skips, Beer Barrels, Milk Churns
