Mild Steel Floor Plate (Durbar)

Mild Steel Floor Plate (Durbar), also known as a checkered plate, is a type of lightweight steel sheet with a regular pattern of raised checkers or lines on one side, with the reverse side being flat panels.

“Durbar” means the metal plates are chequered into the pattern with double bar styles or multi-bar styles. The durbar patterns slightly raise the surface, which increases grip when walked upon, making it an ideal flooring shank.
