Metal Supermarkets UK accredited with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications for 16th consecutive year

For the sixteenth year in a row, Metal Supermarkets UK Ltd has been accredited by the IQS UK Standards Audits Division with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications.

As a leading supplier of small-quantity metals, Metal Supermarkets UK Ltd continues to demonstrate outstanding performance in both its Quality Management and Environmental Management systems, earning ongoing recognition for its high standards. The continued achievement of ISO certifications reflects its strong commitment to process improvement and raising operational standards, all focused on delivering exceptional service to customers across the United Kingdom.

The implementation of a documented Quality Management System, encompassing all policies and procedures necessary to obtain ISO certifications, is a requirement for each Metal Supermarkets location in the UK. Additionally, every store must commit internally to sustaining employee competence and awareness through ongoing training and comprehensive assessment of environmental responsibilities.

ISO 9001 is the world’s most widely used Quality Management Systems (QMS) standard, with more than 2.1 million certificates issued to organizations in over 190 countries. It is internationally recognized as the standard for QMS and is awarded to companies that enhance customer satisfaction, improve efficiency, and consistently deliver high-quality products and services.

ISO 14001 acknowledges businesses that have environmentally friendly practises implemented into their operations. It is given to companies that work hard to cut expenses, cut waste, and increase resource efficiency.

In 2009, Metal Supermarkets received their first accreditations under ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004. Metal Supermarkets successfully presented its procedures to an impartial external auditor in order to obtain re-accreditation. The auditor verified that the operations were being carried out in accordance with strict guidelines and written rules.
