ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 Accreditation Awarded Metal Supermarkets UK Limited

Metal Supermarkets, the world’s largest supplier of small quantity metals, has once again been awarded ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 accreditation by the IQS UK Standards Audits Division for continued exceptional performance in the areas of Quality Management Systems and Environmental Management systems.

These ISO certification highlight Metal Supermarkets’ unwavering focus on better serving its United Kingdom customers through exceptional customer service, quality products and services, process improvements and implementation of standards.

To achieve the ISO certification, each store must implement a documented Quality Management System incorporating all policies and procedures; an internal commitment to maintain employee competence and awareness through on-going training and a full review of environmental responsibilities.

ISO 9001 is the internationally recognized standard for Quality Management Systems and is the most widely used Quality Management Systems (QMS) standard in the world, with over 1.1 million certificates issued to organizations in 178 countries. It is awarded to businesses that deliver consistently high-quality products and services, become more efficient and improve customer satisfaction.

ISO 14001 recognizes companies that have adopted environmentally responsible practices in their business processes. It is awarded to businesses striving to improve resource efficiency, reduce waste, and drive down costs.

Metal Supermarkets achieved its first ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 accreditation in 2009. To achieve re-accreditation, Metal Supermarkets successfully demonstrated its processes to an independent external auditor who ensured they are being executed based on documented policies and rigorous standards.
