Metal Supermarkets UK Limited Awarded ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 Accreditation

Metal Supermarkets, the world’s largest supplier of small quantity metals, has again been awarded ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 accreditation by the IQS UK Standards Audits Division for continued exceptional performance in the areas of Quality Management Systems and Environmental Management systems.

The certification is a testament to Metal Supermarkets’ continued focus on customer service, quality products and services, process improvements and implementation of standards with the aim of better serving its diverse customer base across the United Kingdom.

These steps include a documented Quality Management System incorporating all of policies and procedures; an internal commitment to maintain employee competence and awareness through on-going training and a full review of environmental responsibilities.

ISO 9001 is the internationally recognized standard for Quality Management Systems and is the most widely used Quality Management Systems (QMS) standard in the world, with over 1.1 million certificates issued to organizations in 178 countries. It is awarded to businesses that deliver consistently high-quality products and services, become more efficient and improve customer satisfaction.

ISO 14001 recognizes companies that have adopted environmentally responsible practices in their business processes. It is awarded to businesses striving to improve resource efficiency, reduce waste, and drive down costs.

Metal Supermarkets achieved its original ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 accreditation in 2009. To achieve reaccreditation, Metal Supermarkets successfully demonstrated its processes to an independent external auditor who ensured they are being executed based on documented policies and rigorous standards.
